Review: Carmex Lip Balms

I'm one of those girls who just can't do without lip balm, even for a single day, and can I just say how glad I am that we finally have Carmex here in the Philippines? 


I'm quite particular about taking care of my lips since they're generally dry, and using Vaseline Pure Petroleum Jelly every morning and night used to be enough, until it just wasn't anymore. I guess my lips got immune to the formula that they weren't getting enough moisture from just petroleum jelly anymore. So, I started to invest on good quality lip balms, but a lot of them can get really expensive especially if you need to use them on a daily basis. So can I just say AGAIN how glad I am that we have Carmex here?? 

Review: Bobbi Brown "Creamy Concealer"

You might not know this about me but I'm pretty much obsessed with concealers. I'm always on the look out for "the one" because I've always had really bad undereye circles. I actually hate girls who don't need concealer and can get away with just liquid foundation! But anyways, here's my own review of the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer.

I bought this concealer firstly, because of how many people swear by it, and secondly, because I'm a big fan of Bobbi Brown's products. While I do love this concealer, it still isn't my HG concealer. 

Review: Suesh Makeup Brushes (Part II: Eye & Lip Brushes)

So this is Part 2 of the Suesh Makeup Brushes review. You can read Part 1 (Face brushes) here. I'd like to repeat that these brushes were bought individually and not as a part of a set.
I don't wear much eyeshadow on a regular basis so this is going to be a pretty short post. Once again, I purchased these brushes online from Suesh.

• Medium Eyeshadow Brush

This is a good brush for shadow application. However, the hairs prick my lids a little but not to the point that it would feel super scratchy. I'd just feel a little prick from time to time, but I don't mind all that much since I don't use this brush to blend; only to apply.

This is my personal collection of makeup brushes from Suesh. I didn't buy these brushes as a set. I know brushes come cheaper in sets, but I thought I'd get more out of my money if I actually buy the brushes that I want individually. That way, I got to pick the brushes that I really want instead of buying a whole set having some brushes that I don't really want/need. I purchased these brushes from Suesh's online store. The seller, Sheryll, is very accommodating to her clients.☺


I thought of purchasing brushes from Suesh when I was just starting to get addicted to makeup and wasn't sure I was ready to invest in high quality makeup brushes yet. I heard from someone that Suesh brushes are very affordable and are of decent quality as well.

As an overall review of the brushes, I could say that while they aren't the best out there, they're definitely good enough for their price. The brushes are generally shorter in size compared to MAC brushes. They're lighter too, but I actually really like how the handles feel. They don't feel like cheap plastic ones. I'm not sure what the handles are made of, but they've got a wood-y feel to them. I also like that the ferrules are black instead of the usual silver.

• Foundation Brush

I have mixed feelings about this brush. It's got soft hairs and does the job of applying foundation, but I'm not too fond of it. I find that the paddle isn't stiff enough and is a bit too flimsy and bendy, making it a bit harder to apply foundation. I find it more useful for blending out undereye concealer.

Review: Benefit "Confessions Of A Concealaholic"

I was super excited about this product mainly because of its extremely cute packaging and also because I get attracted to concealer products easily. I'm very particular about doing my best to hide my very dark circles so I'm always on the look out for potential HG concealers but sadly, I did not find it in this kit.
