My Graduation Picture Makeup

Hi everyone! How's your summer going so far? (Assuming it's already summer where you live.) I'm in a very exciting phase of my life right now - I've finally graduated from college!! We recently had our grad pictures taken, and I thought I'd share the makeup I did for the pictorial.

I very rarely wear eyeshadow, so I was pretty nervous about doing my eye makeup by myself, but I was also really excited at the same time! It's fun playing around with colors!

Here's a picture of my eye makeup:

It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to. The color didn't show up that much on the actual pictures. (I just took these with my own camera.) I know that flash photography decreases the colors of makeup, but I was just too afraid of making my eye makeup too dark. It wasn't so bad though, my eye makeup just turned out looking very natural instead. I was just hoping the colors would show up more, but I guess natural-looking makeup is pretty apt for a graduation picture.

Here's a list of the products I used:

Brows
  • Maybelline EyeStudio Brow Definist
Eyes
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Rose (For the inner half)
  • Coastal Scents 78 Shadow Blush Palette (For the outer half)
  • Clinique Eye Shadow Trio (For the center)
  • Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black
  • Maybelline Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara

I actually took a lot of tips from Michelle Phan for this look. She's still my most favorite makeup guru even though there are probably hundreds out there now.

I used the white shimmer shade from the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, light pink and dark brown shades from the Coastal Scents 78 Palette, and a shimmery taupe shade from the Clinique Eye Shadow Trio.
Obviously, I still need tons of practice. My graduation ceremony is coming soon and I'll be doing my own makeup again. I hope I'll be able to make it last all day. Very excited about that!

Did any of you go through a pictorial recently? How did your makeup turn out?
