I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year like I did!! </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Just wanted to share the few newly added pieces to my collection which I got for the holidays. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fj-Ccq9OseQ/TweJhl2iW-I/AAAAAAAAANc/h4sxhPzgnEw/s1600/DSC08680.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fj-Ccq9OseQ/TweJhl2iW-I/AAAAAAAAANc/h4sxhPzgnEw/s640/DSC08680.JPG" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">First, I got a glaze lipstick from the MAC holiday Glitter & Ice collection. The shade that I got was "Whirls & Twirls" which is a "<i>sheer pink with gold pearl</i>".</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bWJTUi8K7gY/TweLW3AoXjI/AAAAAAAAANk/4chZo8-o1hw/s1600/DSC08686.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bWJTUi8K7gY/TweLW3AoXjI/AAAAAAAAANk/4chZo8-o1hw/s400/DSC08686.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-225VSFq1DX8/TweNF9BAhtI/AAAAAAAAANs/UjnoboLeAEc/s1600/DSC08688.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-225VSFq1DX8/TweNF9BAhtI/AAAAAAAAANs/UjnoboLeAEc/s400/DSC08688.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-md4IcxK97tE/TweNq6KQUEI/AAAAAAAAAN0/IfxtWuZVvxw/s1600/DSC08691.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-md4IcxK97tE/TweNq6KQUEI/AAAAAAAAAN0/IfxtWuZVvxw/s400/DSC08691.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I really wanted to get this lipstick coz of the <b>gorgeous</b> and clean white packaging. The formula's a lot more sheer than I was expecting and it's a little on the frosty side too, but I still love it!</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The second one I got was the Instant Brow Pencil from Benefit in the shade Medium.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F8RQSjl5z5k/TwePkSitlII/AAAAAAAAAN8/LcCJcMQOt5A/s1600/DSC08684.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F8RQSjl5z5k/TwePkSitlII/AAAAAAAAAN8/LcCJcMQOt5A/s400/DSC08684.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I think this brow pencil's consistency is a little too soft and creamy for Philippine weather, but we'll see how it goes. I bet I'm gonna be doing a lot of sharpening since the pencil's so soft, so I wonder how long it'll take before I've completely used it all up. I'm hoping it's not too soon!</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So there you have it! Have a great day and thanks for reading!</span>Nikahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09047609604411363685noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1389159333504409936.post-6390639217733263252011-10-26T20:09:00.000+08:002011-10-26T20:52:29.804+08:00Recent Purchase: Maybelline Pure Pact Healthy Perfecting UV Compact Foundation<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hello everyone! Just thought I'd share my most recent makeup purchase from Maybelline. I know I haven't blogged in quite a while. Graduate school is so so much more crazy than college EVER was. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Anyways, I recently ran out of mineral powder foundation so I thought I'd try out a drugstore mineral makeup product for a change. Of course, I ended up getting one from Maybelline. I don't know why but I always have a soft spot for Maybelline when it comes to drugstore makeup. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I bought the <b>Maybelline Pure Pact Mineral Healthy Perfecting UV Compact Foundation with SPF 30</b>.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0dSnvhhWxp8/TqfmQmIw6ZI/AAAAAAAAAME/IFwh5JgEJ1A/s1600/DSC08591.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0dSnvhhWxp8/TqfmQmIw6ZI/AAAAAAAAAME/IFwh5JgEJ1A/s400/DSC08591.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I think that mineral foundation in compact form is really hard to come across among drugstore brands so I was really glad when I found out that Maybelline's mineral makeup line finally offers compact foundation. Like I've said before, I find loose mineral makeup so very inconvenient since they tend to get all messy.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You have to buy the foundation (refill) and the compact case separately. I had no problems with this though since I find the compact case very elegant-looking. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The foundation shade that I got is BO2.</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So I didn't get to purchase much makeup this summer. I just bought some mineral makeup since I just ran out of mineral foundation, and of course, some sunscreen as well! </span><br />
<br />

</tbody></table><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I recently ran out of my Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil so I had to repurchase some mineral makeup immediately since I always try to stick with minerals as much as possible, specially when it comes to powder foundation. I've been dying to try out their 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup for the longest time, and I thought buying this set was an extremely good deal! I bought this set in Rustan's by the way and it includes:</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">Hi! I hope everyone's having a great summer so far. I thought I'd just share the makeup products I brought with me to my 4-day beach trip.</span> </span><br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Nivea Sun Whitening Immediate Sun Protection For Face with SPF 50</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Obviously, I brought sunscreen with me and I like to use only those sunscreens meant specifically <b>only</b> for the face. I didn't bring facial moisturizer with me anymore, so I intended to use this both as moisturizer and sun protection. I don't have very nice things to say about this product but I'll just save that for a separate review. Nevertheless, it's got really high SPF so it was pretty perfect for the beach.</span><br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Clinique All About Eyes Serum</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I didn't bring eye cream with me either but this was perfect for moisturizing my undereyes. It's also really great to bring for on-the-go trips since it's really easy to apply and isn't as messy as cream is. I loved having this around!</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm one of those girls who just can't do without lip balm, even for a single day, and can I just say how glad I am that we finally have Carmex here in the Philippines? </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm quite particular about taking care of my lips since they're generally dry, and using Vaseline Pure Petroleum Jelly every morning and night used to be enough, until it just wasn't anymore. I guess my lips got immune to the formula that they weren't getting enough moisture from just petroleum jelly anymore. So, I started to invest on good quality lip balms, but a lot of them can get really expensive especially if you need to use them on a daily basis. So can I just say <u>AGAIN</u> how glad I am that we have Carmex here?? </span><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Carmex Squeeze Tube Lip Balm in Original</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I've been using this squeeze tube every night before I sleep and I've never woken up to dry or chapped lips ever since. Some people don't like how this lip balm smells, but it actually doesn't bother me at all. This original scent reminds me of those Vicks VapoRub ointments, but Carmex smells more pleasant to me. Applying this lip balm gives you that cool minty tingly feeling on your lips for a little while, but the sensation isn't overly intense (I've tried other balms that were just too horribly minty). Another reason why I love Carmex is not just because of its moisturizing properties but because it's REALLY affordable too! It doesn't feel too thick or greasy on the lips either and that's a big plus for me. </span><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Carmex Click Stick Lip Balm with SPF 15 in Strawberry</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I tend to use this lip balm more when I'm outside the house since it's much faster to apply compared to the squeeze tube. I especially love that it's included with such a high SPF; in fact it's the highest I've seen in a lip balm, so it's always a must to bring this with me specially when I go to the beach. It's just so convenient because you're really sure that not only are your lips moisturized but they're also protected from the sun's rays. You also get the same tingly effect on your lips once you apply on the balm, and the strawberry scent is quite pleasant too! I initially wanted to buy the Cherry flavored one, but Landmark Trinoma was all out. It's all good though since the strawberry flavor didn't disappoint. </span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">So there you have it! Just wanted to post a quick review of these Carmex lip balms. I'm DEFINITELY going to repurchase once I've used them all up because you just can't beat the <b>price</b> AND <b>quality</b>! </span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">BTW, I haven't tested these lip balms out yet during winter weather so I can't say for sure how'd they fair, but if I get to, I'll definitely include that here. </span></span><br />

I'm finally "officially" a college graduate! It feels so weird saying that because for four years, I always referred to myself as an "undergraduate". Feels so surreal! </span><br />
<div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Anyways, for my graduation ceremony and my graduation party, I wore a dark purple dress, so I decided to match that with purple shades of eyeshadow. Here are pictures of my eye makeup that day:</span><br />
<div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L99ZNI7znH4/Tawd_YwbiNI/AAAAAAAAAG8/7ERfTiC07pI/s1600/4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="151" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L99ZNI7znH4/Tawd_YwbiNI/AAAAAAAAAG8/7ERfTiC07pI/s400/4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It was a pretty long day. The graduation ceremony took place during the afternoon, and then I had a party with my family and relatives the entire night. So glad my makeup stayed on quite well! However, as always, the Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil that I applied on my waterline had smudged by the time the party had started, so I had to reapply.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I don't know if it's just me, I mean I <b>know</b> I need loads of practice with applying eyeshadow since as I mentioned previously that I barely wear eyeshadow regularly, but I've just been so disappointed lately with the Coastal Scents 78 Palette. I just feel like they're <b>not as</b> pigmented as I initially thought they were, and as everyone claims them to be. I had such a hard time defining my outer lid corners with a darker purple shade since it <i>barely</i> showed up. Because of that, I now plan to invest on better eyeshadows, but it's just quite disappointing since I still have <b>A LOT</b> left of the CS 78 Palette.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />

How's your summer going so far? (Assuming it's already summer where you live.) I'm in a very exciting phase of my life right now - I've finally graduated from college!! We recently had our grad pictures taken, and I thought I'd share the makeup I did for the pictorial. </span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;"><br />
</span> </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">I </span><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">very rarely</span></b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;"> wear eyeshadow, so I was pretty nervous about doing my eye makeup by myself, but I was also really excited at the same time! It's fun playing around with colors!</span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;"><br />
</span> </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">Here's a picture of my eye makeup:</span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d3BhC5NBAhE/TaanXHRd-eI/AAAAAAAAAG0/TrUm8kjwO3c/s1600/2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="182" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d3BhC5NBAhE/TaanXHRd-eI/AAAAAAAAAG0/TrUm8kjwO3c/s400/2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to. The color didn't show up that much on the actual pictures. (I just took these with my own camera.) I know that flash photography decreases the colors of makeup, but I was just too afraid of making my eye makeup too dark. It wasn't so bad though, my eye makeup just turned out looking very natural instead. I was just hoping the colors would show up more, but I guess natural-looking makeup is pretty apt for a graduation picture.</span></span><br />

</ul><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">I actually took a lot of tips from</span> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/MichellePhan"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;">Michelle Phan</span></b></a> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">for this look. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;"><br />
</span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">I used the white shimmer shade from the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, light pink and dark brown shades from the Coastal Scents 78 Palette, and a shimmery taupe shade from the Clinique Eye Shadow Trio. </span></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">Obviously, I still need </span><u><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">tons</span></u><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;"> of practice. </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You might not know this about me but I'm pretty much obsessed with concealers. I'm always on the look out for "the one" because I've always had <b><u>really bad</u> </b>undereye circles. I actually hate girls who don't need concealer and can get away with just liquid foundation! But anyways, here's my own review of the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I bought this concealer firstly, because of how many people <u>swear</u> by it, and secondly, because I'm a big fan of Bobbi Brown's products. While I do love this concealer, it still isn't my HG concealer. </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I wasn't able to take photos of myself wearing the concealer though since I've already used it all up. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Wingdings;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-size: large;">L</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Warm Beige</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My undereye circles aren't puffy but they're <b>extremely</b> dark. They're more on the bluish/purple side, so aside from great coverage, I also look for brightening qualities in a concealer. I was matched with the shade "Warm Beige" at the store, and I finally understand now when people say that some stores' lighting can be deceiving! I was actually pretty worried when the sales assistant tried this shade on me because I swear it looked a bit too light, but when I wore it the next day at home, I realized the shade wasn't that much lighter at all! It's actually a little bit darker than my skin tone, and while that isn't too much of a problem, I just feel like it doesn't do much to "brighten" my undereyes. I'm not blaming the product for that at all, but it's just one of the reasons why this never became "the one". I might have to try out the lighter shades to see if they'll be able to brighten better than the shade I bought. </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I do love the packaging a lot, like all the other BB products. It comes in a sleek black compact container, and the mirror inside has proved to be very handy for me. I also love how creamy this concealer is. It isn't called "Creamy Concealer" for nothing. It's <b>super</b> easy to blend out but doesn't slip and slide either. It DOES crease, by the way (I don't know why people say it doesn't crease AT ALL), but very minimally if you blend it out properly. I do hate that I have to wait a few minutes for it to set and dry on my skin before I can set it with powder. I've found that it creases much more and doesn't last that long if I don't let it set on my skin first before applying powder. I just can't afford to do that every single day, specially when I'm running late for school. The concealer lasts for about 5 hours tops on my undereyes without retouching. I do wish it lasted longer than that.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Aside from that, I do love the coverage of this concealer. You only need a little of it to cover really dark circles like mine, which is really good because you only get 1.7 g for quite a hefty price! Speaking of which, I think that's a great downside for me. I was hoping I'd get to use this product for about a year, but I've used it up completely after <u><b>4 months</b></u>! (That's with regular use, by the way.) So I don't think it's very affordable for everyday use, specially for girls like me who are still studying. It might have been worth it only if it were my HG concealer.</span></div><div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

Angled brushes are just <b>so much</b> easier to use to line the upper lashline. However, Suesh doesn't sell those individually. I've used this brush with gel liner and it was pretty good. I love the thinness and softness of the hairs, and it's not too soft either, which is a good thing. It has just the right stiffness to line the eyes properly. While I wouldn't be using this anymore to line my upper lashline since I prefer my MAC 266, I do find it useful for lining the lower lashline instead.</span></div></div><div><br />

I thought it wasn't thin enough and wouldn't be able to create really defined brows, but surprisingly, I didn't have any problems with it! It's very easy to use, has just the proper stiffness to fill in the brows, and while I still prefer using pencils for my brows, I love having this around as an alternative.</span></div></div><div><br />
<br />
</div><div><ul><li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>Brow Comb</b></span></li>

Not only does it groom the brow hairs in place, but it also blends the color in with the brows, giving it a more natural look. I've barely used the comb end though since I never really found it useful for my lashes. For my lashes, I use my mascara brush instead.</span></div></div><div><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So that's it for the review! I know some people are skeptical about the Suesh brushes but honestly, I haven't found brushes with the same price range that are as good as these. I'm not sure about the Suesh brush sets though, I haven't tried any of those out, so I'm not sure if they have the same quality as the individual brushes. I would recommend these individual brushes for those who aren't sure if they're willing to spend a whole lot of money for high-end brushes or if they're just starting to collect makeup brushes. Some of these brushes are actually really great for their price, while some others are not worth the money at all. It was hit-and-miss for me, so I hope this review was able to help any of you interested in trying out Suesh brushes.</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 15px;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">☺</span></b></span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666;">This is my personal collection of makeup brushes from Suesh. I didn't buy these brushes as a set. I know brushes come cheaper in sets, but I thought I'd get more out of my money if I actually buy the brushes that I want individually. That way, I got to pick the brushes that I really want instead of buying a whole set having some brushes that I don't really want/need. I purchased these brushes from </span><a href="http://suesh.multiply.com/photos/album/36/_The_Suesh_Individual_Brushes"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;"><b>Suesh</b>'s online store</span></a></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #666666; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">. I heard from someone that Suesh brushes are very affordable and are of decent quality as well. </span></span><br />

The brushes are generally shorter in size compared to MAC brushes. They're lighter too, but I actually really like how the handles feel. They don't feel like cheap plastic ones. I'm not sure what the handles are made of, but they've got a wood-y feel to them. I also like that the ferrules are black instead of the usual silver. </span><br />

It's got soft hairs and does the job of applying foundation, but I'm not too fond of it. I find that the paddle isn't stiff enough and is a bit too flimsy and bendy, making it a bit harder to apply foundation. I find it more useful for blending out undereye concealer.</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />

Once again, the white hairs were just too soft and weren't stiff enough, making it impossible to stipple on foundation the proper way. And if that's not enough, this brush also sheds like CRAZY. Not a fan of that at all. I'll probably use this for other products like blush but it's definitely not a good brush for liquid foundation.</span></span><br />

I find it easier to use this to blend out foundation once it has already been applied on my face. Even then, this brush doesn't make the blending process very smooth. The brush head feels a bit rubbery on my face. I do like that the hairs are very soft. I was just expecting a little more out of this brush because of its price.</span></span><br />

I'm not sure if that's because of the brush or me, but it's just something that bothers me. Also, I've had this for about a year, and the hairs are already starting to become loose from the ferrule. I'm almost running out of my go-to brown waterline eyeliner - the <i>Maybelline Eye Studio 2-in-1 Impact Shadow Liner</i>, so I needed to buy a new brown liner for my waterline. I've only swatched this on my hand and when I did, it was INCREDIBLY soft and creamy. Glides on soooo smoothly, even softer and smoother than the Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils, no joke! </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iJFg43b4Ahs/TVufACQu3TI/AAAAAAAAADs/X2E3msq1esU/s1600/DSC07519.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iJFg43b4Ahs/TVufACQu3TI/AAAAAAAAADs/X2E3msq1esU/s640/DSC07519.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But you know how some things are too good to be true. True to its word, it was smudge-proof on my hand but it was <b>not</b> waterproof at all even though it claims to be. Also, it faded so quickly from my hand (after an hour or so) and the Maybelline one swatched next to it lasted much longer. I really hope that isn't the case when I apply it on my waterline or upper lash line as well. What pencil liner do you girls use for your waterline?</span><br />

The only reason I was able to use this concealer all up is because I spent time tediously mixing it with two other concealers with much lighter shades. The shade provided was way too dark for my skin. I wanted to use this product so bad since I've read really good things about it, so I had to improvise. I can't really give an accurate review of this product since I'm pretty sure mixing it up with other concealers changed its original formula. I was able to test out Boi-ing 01 on my undereyes and not only was the shade completely wrong for me, but I didn't like its consistency either. The instructions also say to blend the two shades together to create your own custom shade but that's just WAY too much work and time for me. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Another important thing to point out is that even though I'm a fan of their packaging, I feel like the quality of some of the products had to pay since I've noticed that the products have actually dried up over time. The booklet says to apply it on the inner and outer corners of the eyes and I think you can even apply it on your brow bone. It's not a bad product, but I'm not in love with it and can do without it. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />

It helps with discoloration on the eyelids while at the same time, brightening it as well. As amazing as bronzers are, that's probably the only product I don't have in my makeup collection right now. I know it can do <b>WONDERS</b> with contouring (I'm particularly interested in making my face appear thinner), but it was never a must-have on my list. </span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I've always wanted to try <i>Hoola</i> but I never got around to purchasing it because I always wanted (and still do want) other products more.
